Set Locations

Okay so here's the scoop ... Season 8 is mostly shot in Metropolis. Infact Smallville hasn't even shot at the Kent Farm for Season 8 yet according to one setsider which means A> they're saving money, B> they're only doing interior shots and using canned footage of the outside. Most of Metropolis is on the actual Studio grounds.

However, having been to most of the sites I can offer you guidance regarding where to go:

The Smallville set. If you hang around long enough (if they'll let you) then you'll see something eventually.

Please respect the owners of the farm. A real family lives there and they most likely want their privacy. Stay outside of the gates and they don't mind you standing around taking pics and vids.

There are multiple shoot locations in tiny little Cloverdale. Smallville shoot locations as well as the exterior of The Talon are marked with huge signs that you can't miss. I must warn you, it can stink quite bad in the area. Merritt, where the other downtown scenes are shot, is a bit of a hike. At least a tank of gas for most there and back.
