Season 8 is mostly shot in Metropolis. Infact Smallville hasn't even shot at the Kent Farm for Season 8 yet according to one setsider which means A> they're saving money, B> they're only doing interior shots and using canned footage of the outside. Most of Metropolis is on the actual Studio grounds. However, having been to most of the sites I can offer you guidance regarding where to go: Smallville is shot in and around Vancouver.
